The NSA has "known about" Russia's ties to RT for quite some time. Your tax dollars hard at work, people

The U.S. intelligence community is as vast as a Kansas Monsanto cornfield. Composed of 17 distinct organizations each operating under its own shroud of secrecy, America's spook community spends no less than $75 billion each year to ensure that America has Intelligence.
Factoring in the black budget and classified expenditures, we can safely assume that millions of Americans live in poverty so that the NSA can record their cellphone conversations.
But why do we have so many spy agencies in the first place? Because intelligence work is very difficult.
During his Monday visit to Capitol Hill, NSA director Admiral Mike Rogers was asked some extremely technical questions that only a seasoned spy could even comprehend:
“Am I right that the RT (Russia Today) is essentially owned by the Russian government, and how long has the intelligence community been looking at RT as an arm of the Russian government?,” Rep. Sewell asked NSA director Admiral Mike Rogers.
“We’re certainly aware and have been for some period of time of the direct connections between the Russian government and RT individuals with monetary flow and other things,” said Admiral Rogers.
Sewell: How long have you known about that?
Rogers: Some number of years. I apologize, ma’am. I just don’t know off the top of my head.
You don't know off the top of your head how long the Russian government has been paying people at RT? How about "since RT's first day of existence, because RT is funded by the Russian government"? It's not exactly a state secret, Mike. No offense.
Can we work for the NSA? We can provide Admiral Rogers will all kinds of juicy intelligence about RT — its annual budget, readership, YouTube subscribers. We are master spies who know how to search for publicly available information using Google.
What's next? Will the NSA confirm that Russia has ties to Putin? Or is that not something that Admiral Rogers can elaborate on, at least not off the top of his head?
