Voice of America proudly published this headline just a few short days ago: "US-backed Syrian Forces Resume Offensive to Recapture Raqqa".
VOA is referring to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

But how "U.S.-backed" are they, really? Or maybe a better question is: Do the Kurds back the U.S.?
Sure, the SDF has received weapons and training and other useful things from the Pentagon — but it's clear that their hearts belong to Russia:
