Ukraine Has Become a Circus Show

Foreign ministers, fist fights in the parliament, a Ministry of Truth, a Christmas sale of state assets...where does this end?

Where to begin.

Everything must go!

How about we start with the yard sale, everything must go, liquidation, that is about to become Ukraine.

Via Fort Russ:

The takeover of the Ukrainian government by foreigners – is nothing less than a liquidation commission. They occupy the positions of Minister of Finance, Minister of Economy and Minister of Health. It is very likely that in the near future we will witness “the salvation of Ukraine” through economic and financial shock.

Something that locals wouldn’t have dared to do (bound with connections, and simply just planning to live in Ukraine), will quietly be done by “professionals”, who already announced about assembling a custom team to replace the staff of the ministries.

By and large, Ukraine’s economy is in a comatose state of economic collapse. To save it without spending enormous amounts of money (which no one in Europe has in a free form anyway) was already too late last summer, and at this point no injections will help.

Most likely the new trifecta will:

In the Ministry of Finance – radical sequestration of the budget (reduction of social spending, expenditures in education, health, culture), tax increases, default, probably releasing the exchange rate.

In the Ministry of Economy – total privatization, the collapse of industry with preservation of agriculture, and changes in foreign trade rules, promoting the penetration of goods from EU, USA into Ukrainian market.

Ministry of Health – across the board reductions of funds and employees.

At the end, of course, the “vandals” will be labeled “traitors”, and most likely “undercover Moskali”, and of course will be blamed for all the turmoil.

Upon learning of the foreign appointees, placed in the highest of government ministries, this happened in the Ukraine Parliament…

Because nothing is more embarrassing that pounding your chest about how glorious, pure and wonderful your country is, and then having to accept being ruled and governed by three foreign citizens.

Hard core, Right Sector, Svoboda Nationalists under the control of an American, a Lithuanian and a Georgian…that’s fresh.

Via Zerohedge:

The fight occurred after the majority of people’s deputies supported the draft resolution on the appointment of the number of (foreign) members of parliamentary committees.

After the vote, the People’s Deputy Vladimir Parasyuk began requiring word in explanation of vote, but the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman refused it…

We don’t blame them for wanting to know how they just became the newest US State.

And it gets better…well worse actually. Ukraine is creating a Ministry of Truth.

Officially called “The Ministry of Information Policy,” the Ukraine government has established a department that critics are calling the ‘Ministry of Truth’ in a dystopian reference to George Orwell’s 1984.

True to Oligarch form, President Poroshenko’s friend and close ally will run the ministry, with its main objective to be confronting Russia’s propaganda machine.

According to a Mashable report, the ministry is likely to restrict free speech and inhibit journalists’ work – particularly in war-torn eastern Ukraine, according to observers.

Via Mashable:

At a demonstration outside parliament, Ukrainian journalists decried the new ministry, which deputies approved in the Verkhovna Rada late on Tuesday, along with the rest of the country’s Cabinet of Ministers.

About 40 journalists and activists from Ukrainian watchdog groups Chesno (Honest) and Stop Censorship! held posters that read “Hello, Big Brother.” They urged lawmakers entering the parliament ahead of Tuesday’s session to vote against appointing Stets as its head.

The creation of the ministry comes on the heels of critical reports from journalists and rights groups about its use of controversial weapons in eastern Ukraine, as well as possible war crimes committed by its armed forces.

The Ministry of Information Policy was pushed through with little notice and even less debate on the parliament floor. That could be because the president himself pushed the concept on members of his party, the largest faction in parliament, and has great sway over the ruling coalition.

No documents were made available to the public or deputies, and Stets did not reply to Mashable’s requests for comment. But Romaniuk fears the government has given itself “carte blanche.”

Reporters Without Borders said it “firmly opposes” the information ministry. “Putting the government in charge of ‘information policy’ would be major retrograde step that would open the way to grave excesses,” said Christophe Deloire, the watchdog organization’s secretary-general.

“In a democratic society, the media should not be regulated by the government. The creation of an information ministry is the worst of all possible responses to the serious challenges that the government is facing.”

Journalists demonstrating at parliament likened the move to taking a step “back to the USSR.” Several held signs that combined the Soviet Union’s hammer and sickle with the Nazi swastika.

“This is a fascist move,” one demonstrator told an observing who was arguing in support of the ministry. She said it would only lend fodder to Russia’s argument that Kiev is now being led by a “fascist junta.”

Hello…Kiev is, like right now, being run by a fascist junta. Wake up!!!

As Zeorhedge puts it…

1984 – it’s not meant to be an instruction manual!!

And back to the liquidation yard sale taking place in Ukraine…because nothing screams rock bottom prices, than a government run by bankers and hedge fund managers, in what has now openly become a colony of the Unites States of America. Have fun U.S. taxpayer with your new property.

Michael Krieger from Liberty Blitzkrieg reports:

Claims that the new government in Ukraine is nothing more than a Western puppet Parliament have been swirling around consistently since February. Nevertheless, I think it’s very significant that the takeover is now overt, undeniable and completely out in the open. Nothing proves this fact more clearly than the recent and sudden granting of citizenship to three foreigners so that they can take top posts in the government.

At the top of the list is American, Natalie Jaresko, who runs private equity fund Horizon Capital. She will now be Ukraine’s Finance Minister, and I highly doubt she will be forced to pay the IRS Expatriation Tax (one set of laws for the rich and powerful, another set of laws for the peasants). For Economy Minister, a Lithuanian investment banker, Aivaras Abromavicius, will take the reigns. Health Minister will be Alexander Kvitashvili of Georgia.

Because everyone simply loves to be ruled by foreigners…that always turns out well.

Keeping in mind that H.Res.758 was successfully passed in the U.S. Congress yesterday, which, among other delusional statements, admonishes Russia for interfering in Ukraine’s internal affairs (a nation directly on its border), is as Liberty Blitzkrieg puts it “particularly laughable,” especially given the fact that…

Ukraine just granted an American private equity manager citizenship so that she can be Finance Minister. The hypocrisy will not be lost on Putin, or anyone else for that matter.

Welcome to the freak show circus that is Ukraine.
