SOFT POWER PLAY: Russia Sends Doctors and Medical Equipment to Serbia

Russian MOD says 11 flights planned to take specialists, medical equipment to Serbia. A total of 11 flights are planned to take more specialists and deliver all necessary equipment, the ministry said.

Russia is winning big with its medical assistance to European countries as the EU fails to take care of its own. First Italy, now Serbia.


Serbia is waiting today for medical equipment and Russian doctors.

The first plane Il-76 from Russia with a group of military doctors has already taken off from the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow.

In total, about 90 specialists will be sent to Serbia, as announced by Russian MoD.

They are specialists in virology and epidemiology, and also experts in radio engineering, chemical, and biological protection, with modern equipment for epidemiological diagnostics and disinfection measures.

The decision came after Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Serbian counterpart agreed on the provision of humanitarian aid to Serbia.
