This high-rise apartment block was built between 1938 and 1952 and was designed by architects Dmitrii Chechulin and Andrei Rostovksii.

Recently the photographer Dmitrii Zverev discovered the rather humorous detail of the torn blouse on one of the female statues, pictured here.

Zverev commented that this was a joke made by the sculptors, and was ‘mild hooliganism’. He added that the sculptor would not have imagined that someone would look at this through a telescope.
