The outspoken leader of Russia's Liberal-Democrats (who are, by the way, neither liberal, nor democratic), Vladimir Zhirinovsky, appeared on the country's popular political talk show program "Sunday Evening" over the weekend. He surprised the guests by launching into an entertaining paean of praise for the victory of Donald Trump and what his inauguration means, not only for America, but for Russian and the world.
Zhirinovsky said Trump's victory means the rejection of decades of interventionist polices by the American people. He encouraged all Russians to watch the inauguration on Friday and celebrate what he called a revolution - a revolution that it turns out he, Zhirinovsky, also started in 1991 by the way.
