Is Russia Starting to Realize That 'Dialogue' With Washington Is a Massive Waste of Time?

Moscow has been more than patient

Evidently, Russia has finally seen the light and understands inviting U.S. officials for a discussion on the whims and airy ideas Washington conjures up out of thin air, and usually on the spur of the moment, is ineffective and a total waste of time.

As reported by AP, Russia has canceled talks that were set for this coming Friday between Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Sergey Ryabkov, and the No. 3 U.S. diplomat, Thomas A. Shannon, Jr.

Ryabkov said that "the situation is not conducive to holding a round of this dialogue," criticizing the U.S. for “not having offered … anything specific" to discuss.

"We have said from the very beginning of Washington's exceptionally destructive policy in regard to applying anti-Russia sanctions, that [such measures] will not and cannot have an effect desired by the US on our individuals or entities," Ryabkov told RIA Novosti Tuesday.

Ryabkov also added that Moscow "will judge the US administration's policy towards Russia by its actions" rather than by any statements, promises or "hints," and the latest moves "speak for themselves."

This is in response to Washington's announcement on Tuesday that it has imposed sanctions on nearly 40 Russian individuals and firms over Russian activities in Ukraine.

U.S. State Department spokesperson, Heather Nauert said that the sanctions “didn’t come out of nowhere.” She went on to say that the sanctions will remain in effect until Russia honors its agreements related to Ukraine and stops occupying Crimea. And adding further nonsense, she said that the latest round of sanctions was designed to “counter attempts to circumvent our sanctions.”

Ah yes, more of Washington's sanctimonious attitude with whatever hair-brained schemes they dream up to make life "difficult" for another country, including some tough sanctions on a motorcycle club that Putin likes. (Sorry, dudes - you'll just have to man up.)

Thankfully, Russia may have had enough of the "thin air" atmosphere of Washington's schemes and policies.

As Putin said: "If there were no situation with Crimea and other problems, they would have invented something else to contain Russia".

Of course Washington's pretense is about all is has going for it - pretending to fight ISIS; pretending to fight the war on terror in order to continue with its uninvited status in a sovereign nation for the benefit of the US military/security complex; pretending to care about the rights of individuals as it lays to waste thousand upon thousands of innocent lives in the name of the war on terror, and on and on.

Pretend, lie, cheat and destroy and let others suffer the consequences - Washington's staple.
