Russia Shows off the World's Largest Submarine During Navy Day Parade

The Dmitriy Donskoi visits Saint Petersburg for Russia's Navy Day

We'd like to wish all our readers a happy belated Russian Navy Day. 

This Navy Day was particularly impressive. 5,000 sailors aboard 50 ships and submarines from the Baltic, Northern, Caspian and Black Sea Fleets all took part in the parade in St. Petersburg.

Rossiya 1 has some great coverage of the day's festivities, as well as an amazing (but frankly too short) tour of the Dmitriy Donskoi, the world's largest submarine. Described as an "underwater 9-story building," the nuclear ballistic missile sub somehow managed to park in the Neva.
