Russia Expert Barack Obama: Putin "Ran the KGB"

Every time Obama says anything about Russia, a kitten dies

Celebrated Kremlinologist Barack Obama has once again showcased his deep understanding of Russia, this time during a friendly chit-chat with Buzzfeed. From the transcript:

Obama: You know, I don’t want to psychoanalyze Mr. Putin. I will say that he has a foot very much in the Soviet past. That’s how he came of age. He ran the KGB. Those were his formative experiences.

Shocking. We didn't know that KGB headquarters was in Dresden, Germany—where Putin was stationed. And as the always invaluable Wikipedia reminds us, "Putin resigned from the active state security services with the rank of lieutenant colonel." Yes. Sounds like he was definitely running the entire show, as a mid-level officer in East Germany.

Or maybe Putin used his powers as the former KGB Overlord to whitewash his Wiki page? "Russia doesn't make anything"...Except for malicious Wikipedia edits?

By the way, if Obama has a problem with leaders of shadowy intelligence services, why did he award George H. W. Bush, a former director of the CIA, with a fancy freedom medal?

Literally everything that Obama says about Russia is purified bat guano. Isn't it reassuring to know that the man who is leading us towards a New Cold War is a walking encyclopedia? We eagerly await his next insight.
