One of his first interviews shows he had a plan to develop Russia: strategy and a human touch
On New Year ’s Eve of 2000, the first President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, delegated his authority to Vladimir Putin, then Prime-Minister, in the presence of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexei II.
Little more than two months later, Russians would elect Vladimir Putin as president. Ahead of March 8, 2000, journalists conducted this interview with him in his office. Everyone should watch the video, especially, skeptics…
Back then the leader of the country was struggling with its economy. I repeatedly wrote a series of articles showing that it wasn’t developing spontaneously, but according to some global plan. I’m glad to see my conjectures confirmed. It’s true President Putin hasn’t managed to do everything, but this is to be expected. There’s still a plan, and it will be carried out.
