Obama's Lies About Russia Are Becoming Bolder by the Day

Every modern war has begun with a US president spewing outrageous lies

MORE: Politics

President Obama's performance at the G7 summit was peppered with lies about Putin and his "new Soviet Empire". When will Americans realize that they are falling for the same trap as they did when Clinton bombed Serbia on a lie? Or when he placed sanctions on Iraq killing 500,000 children? Or when President Bush invaded Afghanistan and Iraq illegally? Where are the anti-war liberals now? Democrats become docile hypocrites when a Democrat is elected president.

The 7 mental dwarves
The 7 mental dwarves

Obama claimed that the sanctions were severely affecting Russia and that President Putin needed to “make a decision” whether or not “he [would] continue to wreck his country’s economy and continue Russia’s isolation in pursuit of a wrong-headed desire to recreate the glories of the Soviet empire, or does he recognize that Russia’s greatness does not depend on violating the territorial integrity and sovereignty of other countries.” It still does not make sense how the U.S. can dictate who can do what when looking at historical invasions, coups, and bombings conducted by the United States. The Western news sources are of course sympathetic towards, well, the West. I wonder what it would be like if the Western media discredited the U.S. president or his officials by reporting, “The White House downplayed their role in the coup last year, but continues to accuse Russia of causing trouble in Ukraine.”

President Putin did not attend the G7 summit meeting, because he preferred “other formats” according to the always-presented-as-evil Kremlin. Of course Mr. Putin would not want to visit such a place after the diatribe spewed by the West. Even if he was "barred" from the meeting. Who would want to hang out with people who are so impolite? The situation in Ukraine is terrible, but it is not because of Putin.

It is difficult not to feel sorry for Ukraine, which is now on the verge of total economic collapse. The protestors last year bought into a lie that they would be allowed closer relations with the E.U. and be given the “freedoms” they always wanted. Yet, what they have now are Right Sector attacking European “values” and anti-government protests. Meanwhile the conflict in Eastern Ukraine is heating up again, and the West always falls back on blaming “Russian-backed” separatists; rather than anti-Kiev resistance, or “freedom fighters”.

It is getting to the point where more and more people do not trust the mainstream media. Not enough have faced reality, but there are some. Meanwhile Poroshenko continued to put his country on high alert for the never-occurring “inevitable” invasion from Russia. Yet, Putin stated clearly that it would be foolish to attack NATO, which is currently training Western Ukrainians to kill Eastern Ukrainians.

Apparently, according to Obama, “Russian forces continue to operate in eastern Ukraine, violating Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity”, but one must realize that Eastern Ukraine does not see itself as a part of Ukraine anymore. They want Russia’s help, and if Russia is in Eastern Ukraine helping separatists, well, the U.S., Canada, and other NATO forces and mercenaries are helping Western Ukraine. What about the U.S. violating territorial integrity of basically half the world? Never do two wrongs make a right, but in this case, Russia is not in the wrong. This is their border being threatened by U.S. global dominance. They have every right to defend themselves and Eastern Ukrainians if needed.

We need to fight Obama's lies before they lead us into a very, very hot war.
