Germany Wants to Replace the USA as Hegemon? Really?

The famous Russian writer cautions Poland on accepting German security guarantees

“Germany is ready to become the new guarantor of international security. The USA is becoming incompetent.”

Thus spoke Germany’s Minister of Foreign Affairs in relation to Polish concern over Russia’s Iskander ballistic missiles in Kaliningrad.

Here’s my comment:

Fritz didn’t lose his appetite for world hegemony: Adolf’s genes are still around. But they won’t find enough Fritz to become a guarantor; most of them are lazy and tolerant. Besides, Germany can’t even keep itself safe from migrants; how could they manage international security?

As for Poland, it wouldn't be a bad idea for it to remember September 1939 and tell Germany: “Thanks but no thanks, we’ll get by without your help.”  They should stop pretending that Russia wants Poland and the Baltic States. Russia doesn’t need the Baltic States, let alone Poland - two headaches.

The US should be offended by Steinmeier.

And we should have a good laugh!
