German TV Boss Admits to Biased Ukraine / Russia Coverage

We continue to see rapid change in German public opinion regarding Russia and Ukraine.

Europe's lynchpin is starting its pivot, something we've been predicting for months.

Responding to a report by its oversight board which charges slanted coverage of the Ukraine conflict and "a tendency to narrate against Russia and the Russian position", ARD, Germany's largest public TV broadcaster, has conceded that

"maybe [ARD] has conveyed too little of Russian interests to the German viewers ...

... We could possibly have examined the position of NATO even more critically.”

We follow the EU and US media, and in our humble opinion, the German media has been the most egregious of all the EU countries in pushing misleading reports about Russia and Ukraine.

Worse even than the UK and US media, not an easy feat.

The statement, written by Kai Gniffke, the TV channel's editor-in-chief, was published on Gniffke's blog.

Gniffke added that "it is only now that the gunsmoke over Ukraine has drifted away.”

That is German for:  "I really need to cover my ass right now."
