Crimea Declares July 5th Tatar Muslim Holiday, Bandera Ukraine Follows Suit

The extremist hooligans in Kiev are 25 years late to the party, but somehow think they can still get in

President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dimitri Medevdev have congratulated Russia's Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the end of Islam's holy month of Ramadan.

In addition the national recognition given to the holiday, the head of Russia's Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, declared July 5th a holiday out of respect the peninsula's Tatar minority:

Simferopol, June 23, Interfax - Sergey Aksyonov, the head of Crimea, has declared July 5 a non-working day in the region due to the Islamic holiday Eid al-Fitr (Uraza-Bayram), which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

"I declare July 5, 2016 a non-working day due to the celebration of Uraza Bayram," a decree issued by Aksyonov on Thursday said.

This decision was made in accordance with the Russian law On Freedom of Conscience and On Religious Associations and the Crimean law On Holidays and Memorial Days in the Republic of Crimea.

Festivals and celebrations were organized throughout Crimea. For example, the administration of the city of Kerch published the following announcment:

In connection with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr on July 5 from 16.00 to 19.00 in the City Park of Culture and Recreation (in front of the Ferris wheel) will take the following measures:

- The grand opening of the festival
- Performances of creative groups
- Competition in the national struggle Kuresh
- Treats, cuisine
- Festivities

All are invited.

The following was reported from the capital of Crimea, Simferopol (translation by Google):

In all the mosques of Crimea held public prayers in honor of the Muslim holiday of Oraz Bairam.

In Simferopol, where the beginning of the Great Mosque built only in 2016, the spiritual leader of Muslims of Crimea hajji Emirali Ablaev spent the Eid prayers in the hall of the Palace of Culture. He said today's holiday - is not just a day off, and an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen family ties, to visit relatives, gifts to please the children and parents.

Well it sure looks like Crimea's Tatars are languishing under crushing Stalinist oppression. Just like the Kiev coup regime and Washington told us. No wonder Jamala cried. (Not to mention her wealthy family who still live happily in "occupied" Crimea.)

Not to be outdone, Bandera-occupied Ukraine has rushed to declare July 5th a holiday in their imaginary "Autonomous Republic of Crimea" as well (translation by Google, slightly corrected):

The State Service of Ukraine for the Crimea and Sevastopol is initiating at the state level, the organization of the day during the Muslim religious holiday of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Bayram. This was said within the framework of parliamentary hearings on the issue of the reintegration of Crimea said deputy chairman of Zarema Ozenbash to the service, "Radio Liberty."

"In order to show solidarity and spiritual support to the Crimean Tatar people and other citizens of Ukraine, who are Muslims, the office appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and initiated the creation in Ukraine of religious holidays Oraz-Fitr and Eid al-Adha with the definition of these holidays as non-working days", she noted.

For some reason, Bandera-occupied Ukraine never thought about declaring these Muslim holidays in the 24 years they held Crimea under their rule.

Nor did they ever consent to declare Crimean Tatar an official language of Crimea, which Russia did immediately upon taking over the peninsula. (Ukraine's chauvinist fanatics will not tolerate any language co-equal with Ukrainian.)

Nor did they ever deign to permit a Grand Mosque for the Crimean Tatars in the capital, a project Ukraine blocked for 10 years, but which Russia managed to secure as soon as Crimea rejoined Russia (interestingly enough, financed by Turkey).

The Bandera-worshiping thugs running Kiev continue to play catch up, passing laws and renaming streets and towns, lost in their own fantasy world where Crimea forms part of their fascist regime.

Meanwhile the people of Crimea - Russians and Tatars - will apparently continue on with their lives not the slightest bit perturbed by the pathetic antics of the failed state to the North from which, it seems, they have been liberated at last.
