Only 2 White Teams, Russia and Croatia, Left in World Cup - Saturday One Will Knock Out the Other

"If this World Cup has proved anything, it is that national categories and identities, based on race, tradition, and history, are increasingly under attack -- especially where Western Europeans are concerned."

The World Cup has now moved to the quarter final (last 8) stage, and tragically the last two remaining white teams -- Russia and Croatia --  have been drawn against each other, meaning that one of them is certain to be knocked out.

Russian goalie Igor Akinfeev saves a PK to put Spain out of the World Cup.

The two teams will face each other in the Olympic Stadium in Sochi on Saturday July 7th. This means that there will be only one white team in the last four. Our prediction is that  it will be Croatia

In the other quarter final held that day, a Sweden team with an increasingly visible non-white contingent, will face off against the multiracial England team, centred around it's Irish-descended striker and penalty taker Harry Kane. Our prediction is that Sweden will win.

One day earlier, on Friday the 6th, a mainly black French team -- nicknamed "Franzania" -- will face off against a mixed White/Mestizo Uruguayan team. Our prediction is that Uruguay will win.

Also on Friday a mixed Mulatto/Mestizo/Black/White Brazil team will take on the multiracial Black/White/Arab Belgian team. Our prediction is a Brazilian win.

If this World Cup has proved anything, it is that national categories and identities, based on race, tradition, and history, are increasingly under attack -- especially where Western Europeans are concerned.
