EU's Post-Obama Strategy Is to Blame Russia

Panicked Brussels bureaucrats are now directly blaming Vladimir Putin for Brexit, the demise of Hillary Clinton and the Scottish referendum

A document, part of a new strategy to combat growing “populist” movements, is to be presented to the Conference of Presidents – made up of EU parliament chief Martin Schulz and the heads of the party political groups – next week.

Reports that Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the European Commission has threatened to resign unless his ally Martin Schulz is allowed to stay on as European Parliament President, have also surfaced.

The document blaming Russia for the rise of “populism” was leaked as researchers prepare to gather in Strasbourg on Monday night to discuss how to limit the fall-out of the American election result threatening to unseat the unelected elite in Brussels.

The report claims the eurosceptic revolution sweeping the continent was built solely on Russian propaganda. But their new single-minded communications strategy is likely to raise questions about the quality of the European leadership.

Bureaucrats from the EU’s Directorate-General for External Policies have penned the bombshell document which claims Putin steered Brexit, the Scottish independence bid and even the Wikileaks website.

Eurocrats claim that Russia directly influenced the results of the Scottish independence referendum, as well as allegedly being behind the Wikileaks site created by Australian hacker Julian Assange. The WikiLeaks revelations supposedly handed the election victory to Trump.

The report comes in the wake of a meeting on Friday marking the end of Obama’s two-day visit to Berlin where he held bilateral talks with longtime ally Angela Merkel, who is expected to announce soon – perhaps as early as Sunday – whether she will run for a fourth term in next year’s federal election.

Globalists are pinning their hopes on Merkel to take up the baton for George Soros surrogates.

Obama and Merkel engaged in a navel gazing exercise to tackle detractors and those who threaten “soft power”. They said the European superstate was being “undermined” by populist movements.

On Friday afternoon Merkel held individual talks with her European counterparts who were present in Berlin to learn that the TTIP agreement was almost dead.

Germany ships more goods to the US than any other country. In 2015 exports increased 73 percent since 2010, according to the Munich-based Ifo Institute for Economic Research. Top exports include automobiles, machinery, and electrical goods.

An estimated 1.5 million jobs in Germany depend on trade with the US according to the Ifo Institute. Deteriorating US-German relations might jeopardize German manufacturing investments in the US.

German industry leaders insist they will continue to push business initiatives like TTIP, a bilateral trade agreement between the United States and the US. The proposed legislation has met opposition on both sides of the Atlantic and most recently by Trump.

“German industry will continue to work towards a fair TTIP with good regulations for both sides,” said Ulrich Grillo, president of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in a statement.
