Two Russian Soldiers Killed in Syria
The Defense Ministry confirms two Russian contract soldiers were killed in a militant attack in Syria while another one suffered severe wounds
Two Russian soldiers have been killed in Syria, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
We don't know where the attack happened, but our guess is near Palmyra. There's an offensive there now, and supposedly the "5th Corps" is full of Russian instructors.
Two Russian soldiers were killed in a militant attack in Syria while another one suffered severe wounds, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters on Tuesday.
"A group of militants used mortars to shell Russian soldiers, acting as weapons instructors in one of the Syrian military units, and a Russian military adviser," the press service said.
"As a result, two of the Russian soldiers were killed, while the wounded is being treated by military doctors," the Defense Ministry added.
