14 people have been indicted, half of them are top FIFA executives. They were literally pulled out of their luxury suits in Zurich. They came there to vote in FIFA's presidential election. The raid's reason - corruption. The officials were arrested as part of 2 separate investigations: One by the FBI, over multi-million bribes and kickbacks, some dating back to 1990s - so some accused will be extradited to the U.S. eventually. Another one was launched by Switzerland and is about mismanagement and money laundering when it comes to World Cups 2018 and 2022 in Russia and Qatar.
