Putin Is the Keystone Upon Which the Russian State Rests

The world continues its demonisation of  Vladimir Putin, and of Russia. It started with the Magnitsky Act and continues with the publishing of Putin’s mythical bank accounts, according to which he is a billionaire. This isn’t worth considering per se, merely the purpose and implications of these strikes.

The Russian state system currently is set up in such a way that Putin is its keystone.

Loosen this stone – and the arches collapse, revealing our contradictions: those between nations, between rich and poor, young and old, between the Soviet and anti-Soviet… He holds all that with his sheer will, his virtuoso foreign and domestic policy, balancing the country.

Strike down Putin and our Syrian campaign will come to an end, our planes will fall from the sky as Americans take their place.

Strike down Putin and we will have to give Crimea back to Ukraine and betray Donbass.

Strike down Putin and Russian development will end.

We understand clearly that the goal of this powerful attack on Russia, on the Russian consciousness and on Putin is part of a destructive methodology of  Cold War II.

The goal of this war is destroy any positive image of the Motherland, our history, our leader in Russian heads.

To some extent they may manage it because our people are naïve, trustful, prone to temptation. But they’re not so naïve as to repeat 1991 today, losing its government again. At that time people were naive, and couldn’t resist the temptation, the lure of Heaven’s pastures.

But who can forget the hell of the ’90’s ?

A foe, a man raised up by reborn, vile elites, betrayed us at the head of Russia.

Today, another man heads Russia, and he’s a real leader who can’t be suspected of treason.

One more libel, one more ‘disclosure’.

Well, now... It’s just another care,

A teardrop in the stream again,

With plains and forests here and there,

With figured wimples, - you’re the same.

Let’s not be flattered by the promises of our enemies, let’s not let those who hate us put us on a leash.
